Emmerdale star Sammy Winward amazes fans with pictures of look-alike daughter

Former Emmerdale favourite Sammy Winward has amazed her followers with photos of her look-alike daughter.

Sammy, who played Katie Sugden in the soap, posted a picture of her daughter on Instagram.

The proud mum said she’s given in to allowing 15-year-old Mia to have her ears pierced for a second time and her first set of highlights in her hair.

Posting the snap the 34-year-old Bolton actress told her followers that Mia is ‘growing up too fast.’

“Finally gave in to getting her second earrings done and her first set of highlights!!! She’s growing up way too fast for my liking!” she wrote.

Followers couldn’t get over how much Mia is Sammy’s ‘double.’

Sammy played Katie on the ITV soap from 2001 to 2015 and she welcomed her daughter when she was 19.

Fellow former Emmerdale star Anthony Quinlan commented: “Wow! Thought it was you, she’s the double.”

Lucy-Jo Hudson, who played Katy Harris in Corrie,

praised: “Double of you babe, beautiful.”

And other followers were bowled over by the likeness.

“Literally like looking at you Sammy!” said one.

“I thought it was you!” exclaimed another.

And another said: “A mini Sammy.”

In lockdown Mia bleached her mum’s hair for her which Sammy confessed was a nerve-wracking experience.

“Don’t think I’ve ever been this blonde but kinda liking it!” she posted on her Insta.

“Slightly terrifying having it bleached by my 15 year old (both nearly stormed off half way through as it was so stressful) but yet again she’s found something else that she’s better than me at!”

And on Mia’s birthday she paid homage to her girl.

“Happy 15th birthday to the most annoying daughter ever!” she wrote.

“I love you more than the world and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you.”
