Manchester United are edging closer to the signing of Jadon Sancho and a deal could be completed by the end of the week, according to reports.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is aiming to improve his squad this summer and would ideally like to make the additions of a centre-midfielder, playmaker and winger, with Borussia Dortmund’s Sancho being the top target.
The summer transfer window has been open a week but United are yet to make a formal offer for the winger but, according to the Independent, negotiations between the two clubs have accelerated over the last 24 hours and there is confidence that the move will soon be concluded.
It’s understood that Dortmund have set a deadline of August 10 for the deal to be finalised as they don’t want any transfer saga to interrupt their pre-season preparations.
A deal is yet to be agreed and it’s reported that the last bone of contention is the structure of how United will pay their installments following an initial £60million payment, as well as how much of an eventual £120million deal will be bonus based.
However, the report goes on to add that Sancho has agreed personal terms, is excited about the move and and that it’s likely that a deal will be struck in the coming days.
Elsewhere, United continue to be linked with a move to sign Gabriel Magalhaes.
The 22-year-old defender has enjoyed a solid campaign for Lille and has started to be touted with a big move this summer.
A report from Napoli Magazine claims that although the Italian club are keen on a deal United could yet reach an agreement to sign the Brazilian defender.
