A 61-year-old man was stabbed earlier this afternoon (Tuesday) at a beauty spot in east Manchester.
The victim was taken to hospital with an arm injury following the attack at Clayton Vale, off Edge Lane in Clayton.
Officers believe two men were involved in the attack, a GMP spokeswoman said.
Police said they were called at 4.20pm, around two hours after the incident.
The victim was taken to hospital.
He remains in a stable condition.
No arrests have been made, police said.
A spokeswoman for GMP said: “Shortly after 4.20pm on Tuesday 21 July, police were called to reports that a man had been stabbed around two hours earlier in Clayton Vale off Edge Lane in Clayton.
“Officers attended the location and enquiries are ongoing.
“The victim – a 61-year-old man – attended hospital for treatment for an injury to his arm. He remains in a stable condition.
“No arrests have currently been made.”
