Manchester City will face Birmingham City in the third round of the FA Cup.
A date and kick-off time for the encounter has not yet been decided but the match will be played between January 8-11, 2021, and be held at the Etihad Stadium.
The Blues will then welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to the Etihad on Wednesday, January 13 before Crystal Palace also make the trip to Manchester the following weekend.
Pep Guardiola’s side will be entering the FA Cup in the third round and there has already been plenty of excitement in this year’s edition, with four non-league clubs making it to the third round in Marine, Chorley, Stockport County and either Canvey Island or Boreham Wood, who face off in the last match of the second round following the conclusion of the draw.
Birmingham currently sit down in 17th in the Championship and haven’t won in their last five games.
The two teams haven’t locked horns since they met in the League Cup in 2011, with City emerging the 2-0 victors thanks to goals from Owen Hargreaves and Mario Balotelli.
City will no doubt be aiming to reach this year’s final after they were knocked out in last year’s semi-finals by eventual winners Arsenal at Wembley.
They last lifted the trophy in 2019 after they decimated Watford 6-0 in the final, taking their tally up to six FA Cup triumphs, to secure a historic domestic treble.
